Ok, so people are at different stages with their coursework, so not everything I write here will apply to everyone but things to spend some time on this week include:
Posting your posts - some people only have one visible post at the moment (or in one case 0). Remember if your posts are in draft form, we cannot see them - so if it's finished post it!
Now that you have a few posts (most of you) check your blog format. Some of the 'styles' only really work if you are posting an image with each post. Think about changing your style if it is hard to navigate or hard to follow. There are a number of ways you can customise your blog. You could also add gadgets (a poll maybe?)
Add pictures to your posts. Now that you've written a few things, try to make your posts a bit more interesting by adding images, diagrams, videos and links.
Re-visit your action plan - tick things off, move things around, set yourself homework.
Finally, start thinking in more detail about your production. You should be gaining some ideas by now about the institutions and texts they offer, the target audience and factual and fictional programme. Start organising your ideas in preparation for writing your draft aims and intentions.
This is a blog hub for all the Media and Film projects undertaken by HRSFC students. Currently studying for EDUQAS A Level Media and OCR A Level Film.

Embedding a video
Embedding a video is a good way to add some variety to your blog and means that when you are conducting a textual analysis, it is easy to see what you are writing about. If you find a relevant clip/short film on YouTube, go to the share tab and select embed. You will need to copy the embed code into the HTML part of your blog post.
Some clips will not let you embed, so it is not always possible but it is definitely worth doing if you can.
This is Dan Evetts homework choice - I haven't yet watched but it comes highly recommended

Well done so far...
Well done to everyone for setting up their blog and making those first awkward posts! A few people still need to send me the address of their blog, so please e mail those straight away.
Do use the links on the side of the blog to have a look at what other people in the class are doing and be prepared to give feedback. Feedback should be constructive though and be appropriately written!
I look forward to reading your next posts :)

Welcome!
Welcome to the new blog hub for A Level Media and Film Coursework. Once everyone has created their blog, you should be able to see a list to the side and click on the work of other people in the class. This is useful if you want to get feedback on your posts and will allow you to show how your work is developing over time.
Your blog will also be seen by the exam board and should show your journey towards the final TV programme and Print text you produce.
Happy blogging!
